How it pays to exhibit your yacht at MYS with Edmiston

Looking to sell or charter your yacht? There’s no one better place than the Monaco Yacht Show to get your yacht seen by the right people

The Monaco Yacht Show, the pinnacle of the yacht show calendar, is on the horizon and with 30,000 visitors last year and 110 of the most luxurious and exclusive yachts on the market on display at this year’s show, it’s a show for owners serious about selling their yacht.

Taking place from 27-30 September 2023 in Port Hercule, Monaco, since launching in 1991, the Monaco Yacht Show has achieved iconic status, distinguishing itself as the international gathering for superyachts.

Jamie Edmiston, Chief Executive of Edmiston, says: “The Monaco Yacht Show is one of the rare shows that are actually filled with genuine buyers and yacht owners.”

While Nick Edmiston says: “It’s the best shop window in the world for well informed and serious yacht buyers.

And of course, with an exemplary sales record and an excellent presence at the show, Edmiston is the best placed broker to market your yacht in Monaco.

Edmiston have sold 50% of yachts they’ve displayed

Our track record of selling yachts exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show speaks for itself – we’ve sold an average of 50% of the yachts that have been exhibited with us in Monaco over the past four years.

Last year we surpassed this success and of the 11 yachts we took to Monaco – our largest presence to date – we have since sold four of those yachts with a further three currently under offer.

Whilst not all sales take place at the show itself but it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase your yacht that often leads to a deal within 24 months of attendance.

Alex Koersvelt, Edmiston’s Commerical Director, says: “It’s what we do after the show. It’s a long process and most of the transactions happen in the two months following the yacht show.

Last year the 59m Oceanco yacht HELIOS sold just four weeks after the show, while the 50m Perini Navi yacht SILENCIO sold 119 days after the show and the 46.8m custom explorer yacht AUDACE from Cantiere delle Marche sold 170 days after the show.

Bringing the yachts to life

We recognise that purchasing or chartering a yacht is an emotional purchase, so our priority is to help clients make the right decisions. And with yachts all within the same vicinity, it’s an opportunity for our clients to view yachts they wouldn’t have otherwise overlooked.

Alex Koersvelt says, “We had a client come to the show to view a sailing yacht, with no desire to charter a motor yacht. Once onboard they could see the value of motor and walked away converted.” By building long standing relationships and really getting to know our clients, we make recommendations that might not fit the initial requirements, but that we’re sure our clients will like.

And it’s not just about introducing clients to new yachts, it’s about contextualising the lifestyle. Having clients meet the crew, visualise the space and really understand what being onboard feels like helps finalise the sale or charter.

Experience the yachting lifestyle

As with all of Edmiston brand touchpoints, we provide clients with an exceptional show experience that reflects the yachting lifestyle.

We have a strong presence throughout the show, including two prime locations for welcoming clients. This year will be no exception, with Edmiston poised to deliver an exclusive event for sellers, buyers and charterers.

As part of our VIP service, we offer many privileges, providing our clients with the full Edmiston experience, including access to the world’s most prestigious yachts, invitations to exclusive events, concierge lunch and dinner reservations, private car and tender service, and our team of experts at your disposal.

Alex Koersvelt says: “We run a really great show, and I think that every client that we host leaves very happy with how they’ve been looked after. One of our main roles at the Monaco Yacht Show is to make the experience enjoyable and easy for our clients.

At this year’s show, Edmiston will have berths secured in prime positions on Quai L’Hirondelle, just minutes away from our in-show stand, and for Owners looking to exhibit at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023, we can obtain a berth on your behalf.

To register your interest, and find out about berth rates, talk to your Edmiston broker or click here, and make this the year you exhibit at the Monaco Yacht Show.
